MY KINDY CENTRE PHILOSOPHY

My Kindy is committed to providing quality care for children in a safe, supportive, nurturing environment, from Infants to Kindergarten Children and School Aged Child attendees.

My Kindy Labrador aims to capture the child’s likes, dislikes, interests and hobbies and develop a child’s potential through the implementation of a structured Montessori Program which aims to help a child achieve independence, confidence and build self –esteem

Our program offers the opportunity for self initiated activities whilst supporting the child’s development in an environment which will focus on our key learning areas such as Practical Life, Mathematics, Language, Geography, Music and Art, and Social Awareness/Free Play.

We believe our program fosters awareness, promotes trust and delivers and atmosphere where children can excel and be positively encouraged to explore the learning process. We do this by:

  • Providing meaningful programs that are designed to cater to the children’s age, skills, interests, abilities through a variety of challenging and educational activities that incorporate elements of daily real life experiences and periods of free play.
  • We offer a flexible and adaptive approach to our program and this is evaluated regularly. We use planned information about the child’s interests, likes and dislikes, abilities, hobbies and through observation and regular surveys as well as information provided to us by parents or guardians on the enrolment forms we can initiate a program that is individual to each child.
  • We offer an environment where children, parents/carers and staff are treated with respect, dignity and their individual uniqueness is acknowledged, valued and supported.
  • As a service to the Community we aim to cater for all children and their families to the best of their abilities and resources available.
